SORRY! T.T

Hello!

 ...and sorry for the lack of activity with everything! I'm juggling life! with upcoming changes and so forth.  I just finished my graphic design class today! final grade B! not bad! Professor Mr. Owens is a great teacher recommend him if you ever take any graphic design classes at East Los Angeles College!

So besides that, I'm working a lot at my jobS...so it difficult to sit down and draw when most of the time I'm trying to catch up with some sleep...or just spend time with my family.  Though i have not forgotten my business/hobby! I'm still going to draw! and my new mini business cards came! so hurray for that! and thanks to Moo!! they do great printing so check them out! www.moo.com

So here are my goals (maybe new years resolutions...lol):

1. MORE ART!

2. Fix portfolio to show all my art.

3. Fix up the blog/website/logo

4. and keep drawing drawing drawing!!

Mean while i will be "IDLE" on all my art...though you can still order on my etsy shop! :D thanks!

DAY OF THE DEAD EVENTS DONE!

WOO! It was a great run for my first year selling my artwork! It was very inspirational and motivating! So now i will surely prepare myself for next year! More art on the way! more designs! more cholas, cholos, chucos, and all that good stuff! THanks to all the customers! and hopefully i get more time now to work online! get my full portfolio up!

 I'm also looking into zazzle.com - a place where i can upload my artwork and they can print it on ipod cases, ipad cases, shoes, hats, pins! and all that good stuff! but first i will try it out before making it official! Again thanks to everyone! 

especially My Magali! owner of DULCE MUERTE! (buy bows from her :D) who took my artwork and sold them for me...(i was only at one 1/2 events...maybe next year i could be in all!) and lets get this show on the road!!

THE BIGGEST TATTOO SHOW ON EARTH!

So I am here, and thank you to "Dulce Muerte" and "Calavera" (Calavera for sharing) I was able to set up a few pieces of my artwork! So far it has been fun!!! Though I do sell my art there, I also help sell for calaveras! Thanks for all the new customers and i will have to keep up with the online updates! see you soon!

  This two pieces go corner to corner to make the whole picture work.  El Romantico sings his love songs to the ermosa admiring his passion...

  Each time I pass by S Boyle and   E 1st st, by the Mariachi Plaza I see all these Mariachis all dressed up.  Each one ready to work, ready to play.  What's more romantic than getting the mariachis to serenade the lovely dama? nada! So this old cliche inspired these two pieces, but I assure you that there will be more like these!!!

In the beginning...

Well hello there and Welcome to my blog/site. My name is German and I like to draw. (: Why is my brand called El Catrin? Though I don't dress like one everyday...(Only on special occasions)I admire what it has become. A clean, elegant, sophisticated gentleman. That and wearing a suite, especially Zoot Suites are badass! So me+ me liking suites and mustaches and holding a cup with my pinky up+art= El Catrin Arte. :)

My goals for this blog is to keep my audience aware of my art, what is availabele to buy, what has been sold, and upcoming events I will attend or just mention.
